Breathwrk offers easy to follow and highly effective guided breathing exercises that trigger the body’s natural relaxation response by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. The app is downloadable for free for basic features. It helps to alleviate anxiety, promote sleep, increase energy and focus, improve mood, increase athletic performance, and much more. It can help users with depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief and loss, high blood pressure, and attention deficit disorder (ADD). 90% of people are breathing at only a 50% capacity, meaning most people are not getting enough oxygen into their blood and cells for proper bodily functions. It has proven to offer the same level of relaxation and stress relief as meditation but in far less time. As such, it works well for persons experiencing an onset of stress or anxiety or those who are suddenly put in a stressful situation. Once the application has been downloaded to a mobile device, connection to the internet or cellular services is not required. How-to videos and instructional content guide a user in getting accustomed with the application and exercises, while keeping track of user progress. Those who subscribe to Breathwrk Pro can access a tailored home screen based on what they like and use. In addition, Breathwrk Pro is further modifiable to make it easy to use a particular breathing exercise. It includes music and sounds from DJs behind some of the biggest and most well-known Grammy winning artists. Breathwrk is also fully functional with any smart watch/wearable device. This wearable technology is able to measure heart rate variability (HRV), send notifications to the user regarding heart rate, record user trends and performance, and send feedback to an enterprise client dashboard where military organizations can monitor how their team is performing. Reminders and alerts for daily breathing practice and to reach a desired goal are also available to the user. At an enterprise level, organizations can pay via an annual contract. Education is provided in the application and provided by Breathwrk’s educational officer, as a breath bootcamp, if desired. Breathwrk technology can also integrate another company’s technology, if des
