Baseline Global, Inc. is a biotech corporation comprised of a world-class team including a neuropsychologist, neurocognitive sports performance expert, disease detection researcher and business development and commercialization leaders. Our device is being developed as a non-invasive, disposable, rapid device for initial assessment of brain-related and other conditions, such as COVID-19, using saliva to measure the elevation of select biomarkers in a timely ‘pass/fail’ result like a pregnancy test. The continued prevalence of medical issues such as traumatic brain injury(TBI)/concussions and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in the military are requiring novel medical intervention not only in treatment paradigms, but also for earlier detection. Between 2000-2018, there were over 52,000 cases of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in the USAF alone. Also, a report highlights that 11-20% percentage of war veterans in the US military have reported PTSD it is estimated that ~30% have had PTSD in their lifetime. The cumulative data highlights the need for earlier medical interventions and diagnostic tools to better test these conditions to treat our soldiers more rapidly.
