Thirdspace is a commercially available, dual purpose, AI driven, software-as-a-service focused on aiding organizations with creating a culture of trust, connection, meaning, and wellbeing. As a 2020 showcase company in the Base of the Future expo, ThirdSpace demonstrated a solution to address the USAF’s identified need for improving Airmen wellness at an individual, unit, base and community level. Please see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOAJcsD1NUo&t=2s(link is external) ThirdSpace has an industry-proven platform for amplifying and accelerating organizational culture. In 2017 we started with small and medium businesses and have scaled our customer size to greater than 10,000 personnel. ThirdSpace functions can be modified specifically for the needs of the Airforce to increase war fighter readiness and post-mission resilience. From a TRL perspective, we are at tier 5 with aggressive commercialization goals. Since formation, ThirdSpace has completed ethnographic research and customer discovery with over 730 managers, directors, employees and leaders of companies and organizations from 2 person shops to 5000 personnel. We’ve run over 30 betas and have early customers generating monthly recurring revenue. ThirdSpace is beginning contract with the Wisconsin National Guard related to improving culture in our air bases. The Wisconsin National Guard’s (115th Fighter Wing, 128th Air Refueling Wing, 128th Air Control Squadron) have struggled with issues of assaults, mental health, abuse, and workplace harassment. By engaging with ThirdSpace, Gen. Paul Knapp, is leading a charge to change the culture of the Guard. Based on data from early customer discovery, Wisconsin is not an isolated case, and therefore this solution may benefit other states. Through the USAF SBIR phase I program, Thirdspace Customer discovery will focus on 1) Behavioral issues to measure and remedy; 2) if and how to incorporate existing data and reports; 3) insights from airmen to drive platform use; and 4) best methods to share data with leadership to affect change. The discovery process creates the foundation for Phase II where we will modify the ThirdSpace system to address the identified gaps and meet the metrics, objectives and key results defined during Pha
