Battle Born Supply Co. is excited to work with the Air Force in order to continue the development of our 3D printed, engineering ceramic thermal armor. Our thermal armor technology is based on proprietary / patent-pending, interconnected chain mail-type components that are produced and then affixed to weapon barrels, suppressors, or exhaust systems. Our complex geometries and engineering-grade ceramic materials offer the most advanced thermal resistance / lowest thermal conductivity possible. With working temperatures above 1500°C, ultra-high strength and fracture toughness, and extremely high thermal shock resistance, our product offers superior user protection against hot surfaces / components and impressive long-term durability. Most barrel and suppressor wraps / covers – as well as exhaust system heat shrouds – actually cause increased thermal weathering of components, as they don’t allow for components to go through natural heating and cooling cycles – they simply lock in residual heat build-up. Our thermal armor provides the user with a thermal barrier that is safe to touch, while allowing for heat to dissipate through the 20 - 80% of negative space our product exhibits. A user can grab a hot rifle barrel, attach / detach a suppressor, or evade burns to their body on hot exhaust pipes with our thermal armor.

Battle Born Supply Co. is working with USAF TACPs to continue the development of our advanced, world-class 5.56mm / .223 caliber suppressors. Our fully-shooter’s-ear-hearing-safe technology is based on proprietary and patent-pending internal suppressor geometries that reduce the sound signature / report of small arms by over 20% more than the best suppression technology ever on the market. With M4-style weapons, this concussive and impulsive sound is at a range on the logarithmic decibel scale where every additional decibel has a massive impact on hearing damage and, when on covert / clandestine operations, where every single decibel can be a matter of life and death. The sound reduction we’ve achieved is a generational improvement in the reduction of sound, a massive leap forward in Soldier Stealth. Our technology has been designed to minimize gas blowback (a common issue with suppressors), allow for unimpeded weapon cycling, improve shooter performance (accuracy and groupings), reduce recoil, increase projectile velocity and range, and greatly extend the operable product lifespan. We’ve designed specialized features and processes into our technology to significantly expand the functional lifespan of our suppressors, meaning that USAF Special Warfare Airmen have a more robust product that will last much longer in the field.
