The Wave Relay® Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) was designed to maintain connectivity and route data across hundreds of fully mobile radios and allows a distributed and decentralized group of users to communicate continuously and efficiently without the need for fixed infrastructure. Using the Wave Relay® MANET, Persistent can provide a network for the Warfighter in locations previously thought impossible which enables them with enhanced battlefield awareness and threat detection across thousands of square miles. Persistent's Phase I goal is to determine the feasibility of deploying the Wave Relay ® MANET to create a Regional Operating Picture (ROP) at FE Warren AFB and if the solution will satisfy the requirements for additional battlespace awareness of designated airfields, bases, and other facilities. The final ROP solution will enable communication during various missions where the deployment of assets and their operations includes mobili

Over the 18-month PoP, Persistent will prototype a Wing-level networked C3/battlespace awareness capability for leadership and missile field personal with network connectivity to the most remote fields of operation at Malmstrom AFB, MT, which was identified by AFGSC as the most complex area of operations. This prototype effort will enable a blanket of high bandwidth Wave Relay® MANET capability in the most distant locations in the missile field. This MANET will ensure crystal clear audio communications, real time situational awareness of vehicles and personnel, and enable the option of sharing live video, files, and other sensor data already existing in the wing. This all-in-one networked battlespace will enhance operations by reducing risk, providing the information necessary to make quick, informed decisions (“reducing the kill chain”), and better ensure the safety of Airmen in day-to-day operations. Persistent plans to work heavily with AFRL and Air Force end users to determine their requirements to develop, test and evaluate (DT&E) capabilities to include but not limited to: Vehicle kits, TOC Kits, Dismount Kits, Sensor Integrations, WINTAK integration, and continuous monitoring and AI/machine learning systems. Persistent will provide AFRL and end users the documentation needed to better utilize, install, and maintain these systems, as well as an overview of what a full implementation of this complete network battlefield system looks l
