Loft Orbital is a provider of space infrastructure as a service: a commercial solution to dramatically reduce the time and cost needed to deploy payloads onboard high-performance satellites in Low Earth Orbit. The company has developed a suite of enabling technologies that, together, represent a complete rethinking of how to deploy and operate assets in space. These technologies enable complete decoupling of payloads from their host satellite buses and automated on-orbit operations. This allows the use of any existing bus to fly any configuration of payloads within certain limits, yielding massive schedule and cost benefits in delivering payloads (i.e., sensors, instruments, space components, etc.) to orbit for demonstration or operational missions. Combined with its advanced, automated mission control system, Loft Orbital's technologies and capabilities have been validated in the commercial market. The company now seeks to adapt its offering for DOD use.
