Currently display requirements of more than around 55" diagonal cannot be met by LCD/LED panels. At the aforementioned form factor, panel based displays cannot meet the Air Force specifications for ruggedisation being extremely heavy, fragile, and expensive. Multi-panel solutions are not deployable in a short time. Further, they cannot support multi-user natural interactions that are critical for C2 operations. STL presents the Decision Pod, around 10'Wx8'Hx3'D (~150" diagonal) interactive display that can be connected to any machine to act as a giant desktop. It's cinematic quality of 8K resolution and 28K lumens is delivered in a single stacked box unit of 160 lbs and can be deployed in 30 mins. Laser pen based interaction allows users to explore data in a collaborative environment. The Decision Pod is enabled by the use of eight lightweight non-professional COTS projectors, each around 9lbs, made to act together via STL's patented multi-projector aggregation and interaction software based on 7 issued and 2 pending patents. We anticipate a competitive price point of $150,000-$180,000 post ruggadisation for military purposes. Multiple such modules could be integrated in lego style fashion to create even larger interactive displays

Phase II

Rugged, large-format (120”-150” diagonal) display solutions that are light-weight, transportable, and rapidly-deployable for military needs are not available. The Decision Pod is a large portable, seamless, interactive, immersive display (~150 inch diagonal) with cinematic quality (4K resolution) and high brightness (~20K lumens) that uses COTS hardware and patented, proprietary, commercially-proven PANDAS software. The Decision Pod is portable (fits in 5-6 transit cases) and rapidly-deployable to create a large display in indoor settings. Multiple such light-weight modules could be integrated in lego- style fashion to create an even larger display (flat or curved). SBIR Phase II technical goal is to mature the Decision Pod (software and hardware solution) to a TRL 6/7 & SRL 6/7. The end deliverable will be a demonstration of the final prototype at an USAF end-user site (AFSOC, Hurlburt, FL). The display system will be self-calibrating, would not require additional manpower to maintain, will be transportable in transit cases within single person size & weight standards, and meet current deployable C2 node power limitations. The solution will enable current command and control (C2/MDC2, JADC2), situational awareness & other data wall requirements in a lower cost form factor that warfighters can set up/take down in <30 minut
