BCL Technologies (BCL) proposes testing its Multi-lingual Social-media Crowd Manipulation Detector (MSCMD) with live Twitter feed to detect propaganda in real time. The MSCMD uses emotion in Social Media to detect efforts to manipulate crowds. A prototype MSCMD was developed in Dec 2019. In the Phase I research, BCL plans to: Link MSCMD System to Twitter Use MSCMD to locate Propaganda in Twitter Feed Compare MSCMD with current State-of-the-art Design Phase II MSCMD System Specific tasks for Phase I research are: Connect MSCMD Twitter data for real time Propaganda Collect Data Feed for training MSCMD System Train the MSCMD System on 1/3 of collected data Test MSCMD System on real time Twitter feed Compare the MSCMD System with current state-of-the-art Write results of Phase I Research Use Phase I results to write Phase II plan
