The proposed effort aims to demonstrate the utility of a multi-payload 12U spacecraft bus as a high-performance and flexible test platform for AFRL. It will advance the TRL of the 12U by customizing a baseline design around a known set of commercial payloads, procure component hardware to assemble and integrate a fully-functional Engineering Development Unit (EDU), and conduct extensive functional, environmental and qualification testing of the components, sub-systems and integrated structure to establish feasibility for future AFRL / RVEN development and operational test missions.
