The Air Force consumes 2.0 Billion gallons of fuel annually, representing almost $9 Billion dollars of fuel purchases and generating 35 million metric tons of emissions. Energy Alliance Technology Corp (EATC) has developed a patented fuel catalyst platform, BIO-T, that enables significant improvements in combustion efficiency of JP-8, Jet A, diesel, unleaded and biofuels resulting in increased range and fuel economy while dramatically reducing harmful engine emissions. In addition to cost savings and reduced pollution, the BIO-T fuel catalyst technology provides the warfighter with tactical advantages including increased power, loiter times and reduced combat resupply requirements. Because of these tactical advantages, we are submitting this Phase I proposal under Focus Area 03: Technical Level Innovation Opportunities. The objectives of this AFWERX SBIR Phase I proposal are: "¢ To identify Air Force warfighters and stakeholders to validate the benefits of BIO-T in diesel, biofuels, unleaded, JP-8, and Jet-A, fueled ground support vehicles, auxiliary power units and generators, light tactical vehicles, administrative vehicles, UAS, and manned aircraft. "¢ To expedite SBIR Phase III adoption of the commercially available (and ASTM certified) BIO-T GS/LS-1080 Fuel Catalyst to AF/DoD and federal agencies.
