The proposed Phase II is focused on solving the problem of physiological Thermal Burden experienced by Air Force Aircrews when conducting ground operations in heat-soaked aircraft, and Air Force Maintainers of Fifth-generation fighters that are required to wear chem suits to service the skin of the jet. In the summer months both End Users are greatly impacted by thermal burden. RINI Tech proposes to leverage its patented miniature refrigeration technology to solve this challenge. RINIs commercial Personal Cooling product has been proven effective with professional race teams, SOCOM and the US Army. The product will be modified to meet specific requirements of these two Air Force End Users and Operational Testing will be conducted at both Flight Operations and Aircraft Maintenance squadrons. This proposal includes a signed customer memorandum supporting the overall initiative, confirming the need for the proposed solution and the details of the work plan.
