PROBLEM: Defense personnel have an operational imperative to rapidly defend against and capitalize upon web-based information warfare opportunities. Often the response window is narrow, and it takes significant time and manpower to deploy a new web property with a significant content history, making traditional web content difficult to use in response. Furthermore, it is not currently possible, without significant manpower and resources, to deploy a network of websites that can begin producing search-engine optimized content around specific keywords and topics. SOLUTION: Content Engine is an AI platform that uses state of the art, proprietary natural language models to generate blog content. Our system can create a new website and publish hundreds of blog posts to it in a single day, not weeks, and it can be trained to write on new subjects in one week, not months. It is comprised of two components: 1) custom defense language models trained using our proprietary training and testing pipeline, and 2) the platform for using the model's outputs. Content Engine can be used for information operations, recruitment, marketing, and CRM. NON-DEFENSE SOLUTION/TECHNOLOGY: The core of our product for both defense and non-defense solutions, our SaaS language-processing AI model, is at Technology Readiness Level 7. Our training and experimentation pipeline has been under development for over a year. In that time, our team developed the expertise and gained access to the resources needed to completely rebuild OpenAI’s GPT-2. Our SaaS model has been extensively tested, optimized, and we have streamlined the pipeline for ongoing model improvements. The model is accessible via our platform, and with sufficient content examples, it can learn how to write content on any new subject matter topic in just one week. Our commercial platform, which we define as the website, software, and services required to make the core model accessible, is at Technology Readiness Level 6. The platform has been used by and demonstrated significant value to early clients. Portions of the platform that will be automated in the final production version are currently operated manually by the Content Engine team. DEFENSE SOLUTION/TECHNOLOGY: Our Defense platform, which we define as the website, software, and services required to make the core model accessible to Defense personnel, is at Technology Readiness Level 5. The platform has been tested in a relevant environment (commercial use). Portions of the platform will need to be retooled to accommodate the specifications of Defense use. Just as with the non-defense solution, portions of the platform that will be automated for deployment in the final production version will need to be operated manually by the Content Engine team during Phase I.
