Modern warfighters face the constant threat of widespread infections, multidrug resistant bacteria and Biological Warfare Agents. In order to provide accurate diagnosis for ill airmen in return-to-duty/quarantine scenarios, a rapid and robust test is needed that can withstand the rigors of forward environments. GeneCapture, Inc. is responding to this need with our patented diagnostic system. Our mission is to diagnose up to 200 pathogens from a single patient sample in under 45 minutes for ≤ $20 in field hospitals and far-forward scenarios. GeneCapture's ability to rapidly determine what is causing an infection will reduce the number of lost man-days and decrease the logistical burden for diagnosis, treatment and evacuation, as well as eliminate the suffering caused by delayed diagnoses.
