The Department of Defense (DoD) has well known and longstanding challenges related to financial management (FM), audit readiness and labor intensive administrative processes. In close collaboration with Air Force partners, internal customers, and to support the enablement of full-spectrum readiness, our team lead by Sehlke Consulting (Sehlke) will seek to validate the deployment approach for using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology to address business process bottlenecks caused by labor intensive manual processes. For this proposed project, we will provide an RPA solution for the Air Force IMSC Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) process. Our solution will demonstrate the ability of RPA to improve business process KPIs such as Velocity, Productivity, Quality and Compliance. Our solution uses a commercial version of UiPath's Enterprise RPA Platform and has potential to support DOD and Government-wide requirements to automate labor intensive manual processes.
