Easy Aerial proposes to significantly improve perimeter security and situational awareness at AF bases or temporary tactical installations by using an effective, fully autonomous aerial monitoring solution performed with a small, lightweight quadcopter.Easy Aerials Smart Aerial Monitoring System (SAMS)is a fully autonomous drone-in-a-box security solution with two basic operational modes:(1) SAMS performs ongoing aerial patrols around a defined perimeter or fence at predetermined intervals; sending Live HD and thermal video; lands autonomously inside the box to be automatically recharged.(2) SAMS performs on-demand aerial missions triggered by third-party external sensors (such as fence sensors, fire alarms etc.). Following an alarm the drone will fly to location without any human intervention.In the proposed research, we are adding a third SAMS operational mode by introducing change detection algorithms (CDAs) that automatically detect anomalies in the terrain and send alerts to the control center.
