Easy Aerial proposes to significantly improve perimeter security and situational awareness at AF bases or temporary tactical installations by using an effective, fully autonomous aerial monitoring solution performed with a small, lightweight quadcopter.Easy Aerials Smart Aerial Monitoring System (SAMS)is a fully autonomous drone-in-a-box security solution with two basic operational modes:(1) SAMS performs ongoing aerial patrols around a defined perimeter or fence at predetermined intervals; sending Live HD and thermal video; lands autonomously inside the box to be automatically recharged.(2) SAMS performs on-demand aerial missions triggered by third-party external sensors (such as fence sensors, fire alarms etc.). Following an alarm the drone will fly to location without any human intervention. In the proposed research, we are adding a third SAMS operational mode by introducing change detection algorithms (CDAs) that automatically detect anomalies in the terrain and send alerts to the control center. They use abstract or direct change detection (ACD or DCD) approaches to deliver CDA results in real time. The SAMS won the AFWERX golden ticket; was demonstrated to security forces from several AF bases and the AFSFC in Nevada in July 18 and was demonstrated during he USAF marathon near Wright-Patterson AFB in September 18.Perimeter,Smart,Security,Autonomous. drones,SUAS,AFSFC,AFWERX

Easy Aerial is proposing to apply our advanced perimeter security and incident management solution to be used for protection of US Air Force bases starting with a pilot at Travis AFB. Our Smart Aerial Monitoring System (SAMS) works using autonomous sUAS (drones) that are deployed from a mobile or stationary Launchpad and housing called Easy Guard.Easy Guard (EG) is a military grade plastic enclosure measuring 4 x 4 with height of 2 that contains a custom computer running our Remote Management Software (RMS) which houses and recharges the drone. Its relatively small size and weight allows it to be deployed from a standard pickup truck and other vehicles.Falcon drones that are housed in EGs have the ability to fly autonomously and precisely land inside of the launchpad. A typical payload is a gimbaled zoom camera with a thermal imager, however they can carry a variety of payloads depending on the need. Our system integrates with existing ground sensors and can be deployed automatically upon trigger. The purpose of this exercise during Phase II is to develop capabilities to automaticallydetect abnormal activities using custom Change Detection Algorithm (CDA).
