Kleos’ satellites deliver a new, emerging and cost-effective data layer to add to the ISR picture as well as support the 'tipping & cueing' of terrestrial and Space-based reconnaissance assets. Mid-2019, Kleos Space will begin monitoring the Earth with the ‘Scouting Mission’. Collecting and delivering independent, commercially available RF reconnaissance data providing maritime situational awareness of activity currently hidden from detection. Additionally, nano CubeSats have a relatively low cost and the unique ability to design and launch quickly, meaning there is flexibility in payload and sensor suits never seen before. Satellite service providers, for the first time, can react to user needs in the same way as terrestrial providers. Kleos’ technology uses proprietary algorithms that enable the detection and independent geolocation of RF signals from orbit. The technology includes specific knowledge and expertise related to the required detection equipment and most importantly the optimized positioning of four microsatellites flying in a specific formation in a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) at approx. 500 k
