KGIââ¬â¢s EM2 and EIRP can aid the USAF defense installations by advancing proven high-Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) products and the proven KGI process for energy infrastructure resiliency. The TRL-7 energy infrastructure resiliency means a specific site location and/or a geographic region are more resilient to energy outages and/or excessive energy costs during increased demand. This is achieved via a variety of means, including but not limited to, increasing diversification of energy production, installation of energy systems (primary and backup), installation of more energy efficient fixtures, equipment and facilities as well as increasing cyber security measures to prevent hacking and disruption of utility services. Any facility or business operations manager can use KGIââ¬â¢s EM2 and EIRP to evaluate the EIRR of their facility. Once a facility or a region is identified as being vulnerable to energy outages and/or spikes in utility prices then energy infrastructure resiliency experts can help evaluate the best technical and financial solution for that location and help design, develop and install the optimal ERMs. The second component of the cybersecurity review is an assessment of the maturity of the cybersecurity controls on the energy
