Adastral LLC is submitting a proposal in response to the F151-103 Shock Hardened Laser Targeting System. We will offer a compliant solution to the hardened seeker requirement, using some off-the-shelf components. Our system will be designed within a 40mm diameter package, and will be compliant with the STANAG standards. First we will finalize the design and performance criteria, then create a new design, with its emphasis on the need to avoid degradation of the warheads explosive effects upon impact, and to track a target early enough in its flight path to enable a tracking solution. Detailed performance predictions will include maximum acquisition range and off-boresight angular capabilities. Additionally we will define how we intend to address the requirement for new advanced coding schemes at the defined wavelengths. Once the outline architecture and design are determined, we will study how to harden the seeker to the required level. During the Phase I performance period we will demonstrate the concepts compatibility with standard designators, including those that have been hardened or suitable for use on a lightweight UAV
