Engineous is uniquely qualified to deliver successful results to the Air Force on this project. Engineous Software is, by far, the industry leader in this area, the PIDO (Process Integration, Design Optimization) space, with over 60% of the worldwide market. Over 250 customers such as Boeing, Lockheed, NASA, Airbus, GE, Pratt & Whitney, and AFRL have achieved success with Engineous Software products. We have delivered projects like this before and have consulting experts with backgrounds in aerodynamics, structures, propulsion and all other major aspects of aircraft design. The objective of the project is to demonstrate how the application of FIPER can dramatically increase the efficiency in which CFD analysis as well as multi-discplinary analysis is done. At the conclusion of Phase 1 of this SBIR, Engineous will demonstrate a solution that will: a) Automate the grid generation, and regeneration, process for CFD models as geometry changes occur. b) Demonstrate grid adaptation technology to improve geometry model changes using available element types c) Integrate the automated CFD analysis with at least one other discipline, such as structural, to enable seamless multidisciplinary processes.
