Titianium aluminide alloys (TiAl and Ti3Al), including tixal with niobium (Nb) and erbium (Er) dipersoids, were successfully produced in a phase i sbir program using the alti-oxy process. Phase II work will include production of small lots for metallurgical and chemical property characterization followed by production and testing of large lots in preparation for commercialization.
