We propose to fabricate high efficiency CIGS solar cells and monolithically integrated submodules on lightweight and flexible ceramic substrates using ISETÂ’s patented ink-based process. The project has the potential to achieve an AM0 solar cell efficiency of 11% and specific power density in the range of 1300 to 1400 W/kg. The success of this project will have a beneficial impact on both, high altitude airship and terrestrial solar power markets.
