In November 2004, General Dynamics paid an undisclosed amount to buy Engineering Technology Inc. of Orlando , FL. , at the time a 50-person research and development company. ETI is an R&D firm with primary competency in the engineering, design, and construction of special purpose munitions and mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and electro-optic devices. ETI can assume responsibility for all phases of a program from concept to production including engineering analysis, design, materials selection, fabrication, experimental diagnostics, computer modeling, performance and reliability testing, and documentation.
