Phase I

Contract Number: N/A
Start Date: 00/00/00    Completed: 00/00/00
Phase I year
2003
Phase I Amount
$70,000
Adapted from Phase II: Current disaster/crisis management systems are extremely rudimentary, often consisting of little more than an unorganized, hand stapled booklet containing barely pertinent information. MusePlayTM software under development by HyperGalaxy, Inc. provides an intuitive, interactive, highly visual digital content delivery environment which can serve as the perfect platform for next generation disaster/crisis management training course delivery. We believe that our optimized system approach to course delivery will prove superior to both contemporary and proposed future systems in a number of key respects, as highlighted in this proposal. During our Phase I research and development effort, we modified our MusePlay system to deliver disaster management training material and prepared a portion of a sample disaster management training course for this modified system and then evaluated the efficacy of the system by exposing the system and the sample course content to school personnel. Now, the system developed in Phase I will form the basis for the complete, Phase II disaster management training course and course library.
