In July 2011, KaZaK Composites was acquired by Plasan, a defense and auto composite firm in Vermont. KaZaK Composites, Inc., provides integrating engineering design and manufacturing to produce high performance composites for the aerospace, military and commercial markets, with specialization in large and unusual pultrusion processing. Addressing federal agency problems, to develop the undelying technolgy, Kazak then took those products and modified them for commercialization in the private sector, providing unique solutions to common problems faced by a variety of companies. For example, KaZaK's revolutionary design of durable yet flexible stanchions, initially designed for use by the US Navy on aircraft carriers, ws utilized by local municipalities in place of traditional parking meter poles and signposts.
