AcuSoft is pursuing an opportunity to present a commercial application for the demonstration of realistic dynamic images for a distributed virtual gaming environment operating in a HLA environment. To accomplish this, we will develop a real-time distributed gaming system using HLA and SEDRIS. AcuSoft will demonstrate the capability of the synthetic environment representation and the RTI to support dynamic changes to the environment. The project objective is to develop a system with the following characteristics: It will be based on computer industry standards, have scalable graphics, use SEDRIS as the database, and use HLA as the networking standard. Ultimately, we hope to establish the system as an open architecture standard for computer gaming. To accomplish our objectives, AcuSoft will develop a gaming system, develop a sample game to operate within the new system environment, and develop a WEB server to support the distribution of end-user software and software development kits. The Phase II development will result in a prototype ready for introduction into distributed games in a virtual environment.
