Public Profile
In January 2000, Core Laboratories NV completed acquisition of TomoSeis Corp., a privately-held company, in stock swap transaction involving an exchange of all TomoSeis' outstanding shares. TomoSeis, with offices in Houston, provides highly-detailed reservoir imaging technologies. Core Laboratories is a provider of proprietary and patented reservoir description, production enhancement and reservoir management services. Tomoseis, now a Core Lab Reservoir Management division, provides advanced subsurface imaging technologies to the energy, mining, and environmental industries - pioneering the development of other advanced in-reservoir seismic technologies. TomoSeis was established with the objective of providing superior reservoir information capable of dramatically increasing the efficiency with which hydrocarbons are displaced and recovered from complex reservoirs using cost-effective crosswell seismic imaging. TomoSeis offers an integrated-service approach, from survey design through data acquisition and processing to interpretation and model incorporation. TomoSeis has the infrastructure, the methods, and the technologies for full-service interwell imaging in a wide variety of operating environments. In 1997, TomoSeis introduced commercial log-scale imaging, and has since completed more than 250 surveys for domestic and international clients. In January 2000, Core Laboratories, a leading provider of reservoir-description, production enhancement, and reservoir management services acquired TomoSeis. The merger gives TomoSeis the support of a major international oilfield service company, which features over 70 offices in 50 countries.
