In August 1999, the assets of Wisconsin based Raised Dot Computing, subsequently doing business as Braille Planet, were acquired by Massachusetts based Duxbury Systems. Originally functiong as a developer of visually impaired and braille translation software, the merger joins the firm's capabilities to a leading Braille translation firm.
