The objective of this proposal is to design and manufacture a hybrid battery between Moltech Corporation cells, which provide long cycle life , high specific energy (300-400 Wh/Kg) and high energy density (300-400 Wh/Kg), with either a high rate lead acid battery or a supercapacitator, which will provide extremely high discharge rate capabilities. The Moltech cell will continuously keep the Pb-H or capacitor fully charged and ready for "instant-on" high rate applications.
