VT Silicon is a fabless silicon semiconductor company with a mission to displace GaAs as the predominant power amplifier (PA) technology in the mobile wireless industry. The firm designs and manufactures multi-band radio frequency integrated circuit solutions for the mobile wireless broadband market. The Company's products leverage novel linearization and efficiency enhancement technologies that enable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and reference design houses to manufacture broadband, highly efficient, low-cost, and small footprint modules and transceivers. VTS was focused on military applications from inception, expanding its efforts to include commercialization of its technology beyond military applications to include mobile wireless broadband applications; specifically, WiMax. The military application work was vital in developing the technology foundations for the commercial efforts. One commercial tapeout has been completed and results from those tapeouts will be available in Q2/2006.
