The basic objective of this study is to achieve, for a realisticbasic set of soft in plane, hingeless rotor configuration parameters, thoserelationships between and the practical ranges for blade aeroplasticcouplings that achieve optimal inherent stability without the use oflead-lag dampers, while satisfying other requirements needed for practicalapplication. This objective would be achieved first, by configurating ananalysis system comprised of an air resonance analysis, an analysis forcalculating elastic couplings, a constrained optimization program and asubprogram for calculating constraints and a suitably defined cost functionand, second, by actually making the objective calculations.
