OR Concepts Applied (ORCA) provides algorithm development and software engineering by applying Operations Research concepts and methods to the military for command and control applications including stealth aircraft mission planning, unmanned air systems, and cyber war â defense and offense. Operations Research, sometimes called the mathematics of decision making, is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. The firms primary business area began as military aircraft mission planning but has expanded to related areas including workstation design for command and control of unmanned systems and cyber assets. ORCA has also built software for use by endurance athletes. ORCA is perhaps best known for a military aircraft mission planning and analysis tool called the ORCA Planning and Utility System - OPUS.
