Formerly known as Analytic Power Corporation, Analytic Energy Systems provides PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane ) Fuel Cells. In March 2002, Analytic Energy Systems was acquired by ChevronTexaco, only to be shut down its new owner in November 2003. Fuel cell work, however, is continuing under the name Analytic Power- owned and managed by Analytic's original founders. AES has constructed fuel cell stacks ranging in size from 25 W to 10 kW for civilian and military applications. AES has demonstrated capabilities in fuel processing of ammonia, natural gas, propane, and liquid fuels. The companys fuel processors and stacks have been combined to produce fully integrated fuel cell power plants. These power plants have been demonstrated in North American, European, and Asia-Pacific markets. AES has proven systems analysis capabilities; including CFD and heat transfer analysis which supports these development efforts. The primary focus has been on PEM fuel cells, but AES has experience with system analysis, design, and evaluation of all types of fuel cells. AES compliments its portfolio of capabilities with its extensive expertise in the development and manufacture of test stands. In 2002 AES aquired some of Dais-Analytic Corporation's fuel processing and fuel cell technologies.
