Public Profile
Epsilon Lambda Electronics Corporation was founded to provide millimeter wave integrated circuit technology, subsystems and systems. Current application focus for traffic control and vehicle detection markets for products in the unlicensed band at 24GHz.. Epsilon Lambda short range high resolution radar products can be mounted as infrastructure to detect vehicles, moving or not, on highways or roadways, at intersections or in private driveways. Applications include traffic management, safety enhancement, incident detection, toll collection or statistical analysis. Radar data output includes range, instantaneous speed, lane location and signal return amplitude (to help with vehicle classification). The company offers a miniature Doppler speed sensor that can be used for temporary human location and navigation if GPS satellite tracking is temporarily blocked. When mounted on a dismount soldier back pack, the battery powered ELGM91-1D sensor can be used to track movement. The firm frequently conducts research for the Navy, Air Force and NASA.
