Dena Technologies Inc, a spin-off of University of Texas at Dallas, was founded to tackle development of a technology aiding in pressure ulcer risk assessment, prevention and management. Principals of the firm created a platform for monitoring, prevention and management of pressure ulcer using a pressure mapping system that recorded patient bed posture, tracksed different limbs along with their associated statistical pressure image data and produced a summary report for care givers after data analysis and risk assessment. The objective was to provide the data by caregivers required to manage patient servces.
