Airbase pavement is one of the most critical assets for the AF that enables the USA to project airpower anytime, anywhere. In fact, USAF bases contain over 2.2 billion square feet of pavement that require constant maintenance and repair. Industry studies confirm that for every dollar used for asphalt maintenance, six dollars are saved on future repair and maintenance work. However, current crack sealing methods are dangerous, require manually operated machinery, and large numbers of personnel. A typical asphalt repair crew consists of seven full-time personnel capable of repairing two single-lane miles per day with an annual labor cost of $218K. With the Tankless Pavement Crack Sealer (TPCS), necoTECH will make maintenance operations for CE Squadrons safer, easier, and more efficient when operating heavy equipment to perform pavement life extension work. necoTECHs TPCS enables construction teams to perform asphalt crack sealing an order of magnitude faster, safer and less expensive than anything on the market. The TPCS will operate and provide the same benefits similar to a tankless water heater in that it rapidly brings crack seal up to temperature without exposing personnel to open flames and super-heated material.
