Renamed Sample6, the firm develops food safety products for industrial use, focusing on pathogen detection and analysis. With the firm's products used by food producers and retailers, restaurants and health care facilities to avoid, detect and prevent food-borne disease, the company countsamong its clients, multinational consumer-goods firm Unilever, meat-processing company Smithfield and major dairy-processor Saputo. The firm offers a biology-based bacteria diagnostic system that is capable of enrichment-free detection. Sample6 DETECT/L product is the first in-plant, in-shift pathogen detection for Listeria, approved by the USDA, AOAC and plants across the country. Its Sample6 CONTROL products helps to manage environmental monitoring programs with scheduling, monitoring, analyzing and reporting tools. Sample6's Bioillumination Platform™ is applied to samples to convert pathogens into light for analysis. Sample6's technology enables the destruction of biofilms. In November 2017,it was announced that IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group (IEH) and acquired all assets related to the Sample6 DETECT platform. This divestment was indicated as enabling Sample6 to focus exclusively on its CONTROL food safety software continuing to develop the CONTROL product portfolio into the must-have mission-critical software suite in this space.
