AFRL has a national defense-related mission need in the area of space situational awareness. Specifically, establishing a visualization platform for navigation and control of satellites for intuitive decision making and scenario simulation. We believe technology development under the subject SBIR may eventually contribute to solving a mission need. The main goals of our involvement in this project are to develop a Visual Operating System (VOS) for Guidance, Navigation and Control for satellites to provide a didactical effect. The mission impact of this project on the Air Force and the Department of Defense will be to improve by a factor the speed of the decision making by providing a visual framework of the operational scenario in a future space contested environment.
