Ability to defeat hypersonic glide vehicles (HGV’s) requires innovative concepts. Increasing effective kill volume of a warhead is a key metric for evaluating probability of hit of an HGV. EMPI has a depth of experience developing lightweight fragmentation panels and will leverage over five years of experience in our proposed warhead to enhance the probability of kill. Our solution provides reduced system complexity and cost by reducing accuracy requirements via larger lethal radius.
