We will develop a Supply Chain Inventory Forecasting Algorithm that runs on a Quantum Computer. That quantum algorithm will calculate lead-times for ordering spare parts with an accuracy greater than that of Classical Computers. Quantum Computers have significantly greater processing power compared to Classical Computers. This STTR will focus that capability on improving supply chain readiness, which is a $200 billion opportunity within a $2 trillion US market. Although Quantum Computers are not yet able to continuously run computations, this project technology will center on proven statistical processes fed by data inputs from our USAF End User. As Quantum capabilities mature, output will be become more comprehensive with a goal of being accessible at Supply Chain Personnel Terminals so that all USAF commands can benefit from lower safety stock levels and more efficient sourcing.

We will use a Quantum Computer to determine inventory stocking levels on low, sporadic, and highly variable items, and compare those results with the forecasting methods currently used by a Tinker Air Force Base (AFB) Supply Chain Management Group. Our ef
