BioLaminex is a biotechnology start-up. Located in the Tampa Bay Technology Incubator, the Company is focused on the design, development and small-scale production of polymeric biomaterials. The methods used to create the materials are polyelectrolyte layer-by-layer assembly and electrospinning. The main area of technology application is biomedical coatings. BioLaminex designs and develops polypeptide multilayer nanocoatings for applications in biotechnology and medicine. The coatings, a type of synthetic and biogradable biomaterial, enable localized control over aspects of cell function in vitro and in vivo.
