An early-stage startup, Fizz Studio is structured around creation of data visualization software that is accessible to blind people and to smart speakers. To achieve what they do, the firm's personnel use a hybrid visual-voice interface that works equally well for people with or without access to a screen. The Fizz Reader is a novel interactive interface using natural language generation (NLG) designed to enable blind and low-vision users to make data visualizations accessible. The analogy drawn by management is of someone explaining over the phone to someone what they seeing - providing relevant and rapid answers to help the other person on the line - the listener - understand as much of the data as they can.
