Geological Storage Consultants LLC is a consulting and computer modeling company, offering services tailored for the emerging CO2 storage market. The firm specializes in computer modeling of geologic CO2 injection and storage, with a philosophy to make realistic simplifications in order to model at a level appropriate to the length and time scales of the problem. The resulting fast analytical and numerical solutions allow for substantial insight into the driving mechanisms of subsurface systems. Through the firm’s academic affiliations, including the Carbon Mitigation Initiative at Princeton University and the Center for Integrated Petroleum Research at the University of Bergen, they have been involved with all three of the world's largest CO2 storage operations - Sleipner and Snøhvit (operated by Statoil) in Norway and In Salah (operated by BP) in Algeria. GSC’s state-of-the-art software grew from research conducted at Princeton University and exploits the advantages of both analytical and numerical models in a computationally efficient package.
