Public Profile
Originally founded to develop innovative software and hardware solutions ORB Analytics has recently introduced FarNet with a focus on addressing the issue that 15M rural Americans lack broadband access and many others in rural areas with access cannot afford current solutions with sometimes major impact in rural communities of higher unemployment, lower wages, fewer educational opportunities, and lower quality/more expensive health care. FarNet solves the rural broadband problem and addresses the large market need for smart metering in remote areas using spectrum once reserved for TV but now available for unlicensed communications. ORB also offers a Non-invasive Location Analytics (NILA) solution. NILA uses low-cost sensors, open-source software, and cloud computing to track shoppers. Shopper behavior analytics developed by mining sensor data is then used to help the store enhance customer experience and dramatically improve profitability. NILAs browser-based user interface offers store managers advanced visual analysis and reporting capabilities.
