Spun out of Washington State University’s Applied Sciences Laboratory (ASL), ExMat Research, Inc. is structured around further development of the work in the arena of optical diagnostics for extreme environments undertaken by that organization. Examples would include Optical Sensors to probe: temperature in explosive fireballs; temperature in arson and fire investigations; temperature in shock-loaded composites; monitor chemistry in combustion environments; monitor subsurface chemical reactions in opaque composites; reaction dynamics under fast heating conditions; aAuthentication via Wavefront-Shaped Optical Responses. ExMat is structured further to develop and to refine these optical diagnostics and to work towards deployment over a wide range of applications.
