Public Profile

Angstron Materials LLC, subsidiary of Nanotek Instruments Inc, is an advanced materials company offering large quantities of ultra-thin, pristine nano-graphene platelets (NGPs) for large scale industrial and commercial applications. In 2015, Global Graphene Group was founded as a holding company for Angstron Energy Company, Honeycomb Battery Company, Angstron Materials Group, Nanotek Instruments, and Taiwan Graphene Company. Founders of the firm establsihed Nanotek Instruments in 1997 and Angstron Materials in 2007. Since then, they founded Angstron Energy Company, Honeycomb Battery Company and Taiwan Graphene Company with the idea that each company would focus on a specific area of technology. The founding of Global Graphene Group brought together the 5 divisions under one holding company structure. Angstron's nano graphene solutions eliminate the viscosity and dispersion problems associated with processing advanced materials that use carbon nanotubes and fibers. Other intrinsic properties identified by the firm include:?Highest thermal conductivity (up to ~ 5,300 W/mK); Exceptional in-plane electrical conductivity (up to ~ 20,000 S/cm); Fifty times stronger than steel; Ultra-high Young's modulus (approximately 1,000 GPa); Highest intrinsic strength (~ 130 GPa estimated), High specific surface area (up to ~ 2,675 m /g); twice that of CNTs, Low density (2.25 g/cm )
