The developed systems enable water quality managers instantly to react to small changes in the biostability of their water process or distribution system, with results that can be immediately delivered to the cloud for analysis. The solution --- Light Induced Fluorescence Emission (LIFE) -- uses high-energy deep-UV photons to measure microbes of water and the aromatic compounds; amino acids, proteins, DNA, microbial cells and their metabolites.
