Public Profile
With principals having long-term close ties to MIT, Novum Industria LLC principals bring to the table considerable technical and research experience in advanced component and systems development and management of large-scale projects in the advanced superconducting and energy technology arenas. Together they have worked on magnet systems covering nearly every major application of large-scale superconductivity including fusion energy, magnetic levitation, energy storage, power generation and transmission, magnetic separation, high energy and nuclear physics, as well as medical applications. An area of particular focus hs been the development of very high-field, highly compact, superconducting cyclotron accelerators for various applications: medical - proton and carbon radiotherapy, PET isotope production; security - detection of special nuclear materials; and for laboratory research in nuclear physics. WThe principals are also exploiting recent advances in High Temperature Superconducting materials to increase power grid efficiency and efficiency of data and telecom centers, and microgrids, and for advanced, very high magnetic field applications.
