With strong ties to University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University, founders of the firm almost from the outset organzied around around tackling commercializing some of the transformative technologies from those institutions. To that end, the HighT-Tech LLC assembled team is indicated as working on deploying materials with unique properties and unmatched performance for the chemical, energy, transportation, and environmental sectors. Such projects include the firm leading a new ARPA-E OPEN 2021 project with the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University to create scalable manufacturing processes of high-entropy alloy catalysts (HEA) for ammonia oxidation with enhanced catalytic activity, selectivity and stability. The catalysts can potentially reduce the use of precious metals, enhance energy efficiency, and improve the economic and environmental impact of chemical industries.
