Optical Resolutions Inc in involved with the design and development of precision optical systems for defense and civilian use. The firm holds numerous patents to unique and commercially successful innovations including the improved Pancake Window and several helmet mounted display systems. ORI’s founder has designed numerous optical systems including the CWSS, GPS and GAS part task trainers, as well as optical systems currently in use in the M1. The firm has successfully demonstrated the ability to embed an LCD screen into a periscope assembly, which can then be used to project images into the existing unity sight, similar to a heads-up display. The firm is focusing its attention on Embedded Training (ET), an objective requirement of current and future force fighting vehicles. The goal of ET is to allow vehicle crew members to train anywhere at anytime with little or no training-unique components in the vehicles. Switchable Vision Blocks (SVBs) are a key technology for "train-as-you-fight" ET.
