The miniaturization of fabrication tools has opened up new areas of product development and reduced the overall cost of asset management. Consider the power-drill: dense batteries and better motors meant the operator was released from extension cords and became more efficient at on-site asset fabrication, repair, and maintenance. BotFactory has commercially released a 3D Printer that brings PCB factories to the workbench so any engineer can rapidly fabricate and assemble a complete device in hours. BotFactorys SV2 PCB Printer prints conductive and insulating inks to create multilayer circuits, then uses swappable heads to dispense paste and pick-and-place components. Instead of sending out a design for fabrication and assembly to a far-off factory an engineer can create their PCB (printed circuit board) right there and then. The typical PCB has a myriad of technical requirements, some of which are absolute necessities for any ongoing project or asset maintenance within the USAF. The goal of this proposal is to identify and interview key stakeholders within the USAF and compare their needs against the current capabilities of BotFactorys SV2 PCB Printer in order to identify improvement opportunities that would provide maximum impact for the USAF stakeholders.electronics,PCB,rapid,Print, assembly,Additive, manufacturing, prototyping
